GLP-1 is a hormone your gut releases after you eat. These medicines mimic it, so your brain gets the "full" message sooner and it lasts longer.

4In-clinic start
Your first dose is given here by our registered nurse with injection teaching, and you leave with your 4-week supply and written instructions.

Weight, side effects, and questions reviewed in person every cycle. Our medical team decides if and when you move to the next level.

We go through this with you in person before you start. Most side effects are digestive, show up in the first weeks, and ease as your body adjusts. Some things mean we need to hear from you right away.

Which program is right for me?
That is the physician's call, made with you at your first visit. Do I need labs before starting?
No. No labs are needed to start the program. As you progress, we may request labs to check on you, done in-house or through your primary physician. If you already have recent results, feel free to bring them.
Is this the brand-name medicine or compounded?
It depends on availability and your plan. The physician may use the FDA-approved brand product or a version prepared for you by a licensed compounding pharmacy under physician prescription. Compounded medicines are not themselves FDA-approved. You will be told which one you are receiving before you start.
How is the medicine given? Do I inject at home?
It is a small once-weekly injection under the skin. Your first dose is given in the clinic by our registered nurse, who teaches you how to do it. After that you take your weekly dose at home from the 4-week supply you receive at each visit.
How often do I come in?
Every four weeks, in person, at Sarasota or Englewood. Each visit covers your weight, any side effects, your questions, and whether our medical team wants to keep you at the same level or adjust it.
What does the price include?
Each 4-week price includes the medication, supplies, and your in-person check-in. There are no separate dispensing or supply fees. This is a self-pay program; we do not bill insurance for it.
How fast will I move up the dose levels?
Only as fast as our medical team decides is right for you. Starting low and moving up slowly is how these medicines are meant to be used, and it keeps side effects manageable. Some people stay at a lower level for a long time. The price only changes when your level moves into a higher price tier.
What if I miss a dose or feel unwell?
Call us. Do not double a dose or change your schedule on your own. For side effects like ongoing vomiting, severe stomach pain, or signs of dehydration, contact us the same day. For emergency symptoms, call 911.
How long do people stay on the program?
It is individual. Some people use it for a defined period, others longer under physician review. Stopping, tapering, and maintenance are discussed with the physician, not decided by a calendar.
Can I do this by telehealth?
No. Every consultation, start, and check-in happens in person. We do not prescribe online or ship medication.
I don't see my GLP-1 listed. Do you offer it?
